Three Bureau of Immigration personnel were dismissed after it was discovered that deported Russian vlogger Vitaly Zdorovetskiy was able to record content while in detention before being sent back to Russia, Malacañang said.
Palace press officer Claire Castro said several cellphones were also confiscated and an investigation is ongoing to determine lapses and possible abuse by other personnel.
She also warned that more could be removed if violations are found.
Castro said the videos were recorded during the early part of Zdorovetskiy’s detention.
The vlogger was arrested last year for allegedly harassing and pranking Filipinos for social media content, deported in mid-January, and blacklisted from re-entering the Philippines.IMT
