Five lawmakers from Iloilo have secured key posts at the House of Representatives under the 20th Congress.
Third District Representative Lorenz Defensor was elected as Senior Deputy Majority Leader. The post was previously held by Ilocos Norte Representative Sandro Marcos.
First District Representative Janette Garin and Fourth District Representative Ferjenel Biron were named Deputy Majority Leaders.
Iloilo City Representative Julienne “Jam” Baronda and Uswag Ilonggo Representative James “Jojo” Ang Jr. were chosen as Deputy Majority Leader, and Assistant Majority Leader, respectively.
All of them voted to have Leyte First District Rep. Martin Romualdez retain his post as House Speaker.IMT
