Nearly 100 houses in the town of Lambunao, Iloilo were affected by strong gusts of wind coupled with heavy rains on Sunday afternoon, June 15.
Based on data from the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), 95 houses were partially damaged by a squall.
The figure was based on the initial assessment conducted by MDRRMO.
Most or 53 of the damaged houses were in Barangay Caninguan, 30 in San Gregorio, 5 in Barangay Gines, 2 in Barangay Maribong, and 1 each in Barangays Bayuco, Pasig, Hipgos, Cabugao, and Alugmawa.
No casualties were reported.
Affected families will receive financial assistance as well as food and non-food items from the local government unit (LGU).
