Senator Bam Aquino has backed a proposed state of national emergency to address soaring oil prices and rising cost of goods, saying the country is already at “crisis level.”

He said the move could allow the government to control prices, aid affected sectors, and support OFWs, but stressed strict monitoring to prevent abuse.

Aquino also pushed for aid to transport workers and MSMEs to keep businesses afloat.IMT
