President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has signed Proclamation No. 1006 declaring the regular holidays and special (non-working) days for 2026.
The order, released September 3 by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, directs nationwide observance of the following:
Regular holidays:
- New Year’s Day – Jan. 1 (Thursday)
- Maundy Thursday – Apr. 2
- Good Friday – Apr. 3
- Araw ng Kagitingan – Apr. 9 (Thursday)
- Labor Day – May 1 (Friday)
- Independence Day – Jun. 12 (Friday)
- National Heroes Day – Aug. 25 (last Monday of August)
- Bonifacio Day – Nov. 30 (Monday)
- Christmas Day – Dec. 25 (Friday)
- Rizal Day – Dec. 30 (Wednesday)
Special non-working days:
- Ninoy Aquino Day – Aug. 21 (Friday)
- All Saints’ Day – Nov. 1 (Sunday)
- Feast of the Immaculate Conception – Dec. 8 (Tuesday)
- Last Day of the Year – Dec. 31 (Thursday)
Special working day:
- EDSA People Power Anniversary – Feb. 25 (Wednesday)
Additional special non-working days:
- Chinese New Year – Jan. 17 (Tuesday)
- Black Saturday – Apr. 4
- All Souls’ Day – Nov. 2 (Monday)
- Christmas Eve – Dec. 24 (Wednesday)
Holidays for Eid’l Fitr and Eid’l Adha will be announced later based on recommendations from the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos, following the Islamic or lunar calendar.
