President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Monday, July 14, urged the early completion of the new passenger terminal building at Godofredo P. Ramos Airport in Caticlan, Aklan, cutting the original 24-month timeline down to 18 months.

Speaking at the project’s groundbreaking ceremony, Marcos Jr. stressed the need for speed, transparency, and accountability, saying he has already scheduled the ribbon-cutting in two years but hopes for an earlier completion.

“It is already in my schedule – 24 months, I am coming to cut the ribbon. Kung puwede mong gawing 18, I won’t complain,” he said.

The terminal will be built by Megawide Construction Corp., which the President praised for its strong track record in infrastructure. “O, kita mo, masarap kausap ‘tong Megawide. Very ano eh, hindi sila umaatras sa challenge,” said Marcos Jr.

The project is part of the Marcos administration’s Build Better More program and is intended to showcase how infrastructure can be delivered with speed, quality, and integrity.IMT
