President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s prompt action has resulted in the quick restoration of electricity and cellular connectivity in most areas affected by Super Typhoon Uwan, Malacañang said.

Power has been restored in 454 of 712 affected towns, or over 60 percent of impacted areas, according to Presidential Communications Undersecretary Claire Castro.

The DOE continues work to reconnect more than three million consumer lines and monitor 60 damaged electric cooperatives, with reported sector losses of over P4 million.

In telecoms, DICT said restoration is ongoing—Smart has restored 82% of services, Globe 77%, Dito 63%, and Converge 79%.IMT
