President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. urged provincial vice governors to confront public frustration over poor governance with humility and concrete action, stressing that reforms are the only way to win back people’s trust.
Speaking at the oath-taking of the League of Vice Governors of the Philippines in Malacañang, Marcos said genuine service is not about political color but about sincerity, accountability, and results.
He acknowledged the anger of many Filipinos burdened by recurring problems and unmet promises. “Let us not dismiss that anger. Let us confront it. Let us be humbled and provide concrete solutions. Alam naman natin ang mga mali, kaya dapat nating itama.”
Marcos Jr. reminded local leaders that public office comes with the duty to uphold integrity and pursue meaningful reforms in their provinces. He urged them to embody the values of the administration’s Bagong Pilipinas vision—integrity, discipline, and compassion.
“We have it in us to deliver the service our people rightfully deserve. Ibigay natin iyon sa kanila,” according to him.IMT
