President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. assured Filipinos that government programs will continue without disruption as the newly created Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) investigates questionable public projects.

Speaking in Malacañang, Marcos Jr. said his administration remains focused on sustaining infrastructure, education, and social programs, even as the ICI begins its work.

“We are accelerating them and increasing them,” he also said.

The President explained that the ICI was formed to uncover irregularities in bidding and contracting, recommend reforms, and endorse cases to the Ombudsman or Department of Justice. He stressed that the Commission’s work will help strengthen governance and ensure public funds are properly spent.

Marcos Jr. emphasized that transparency and accountability will go hand in hand with continuity of services, noting his administration’s commitment to social protection, infrastructure expansion, and investments in education and health.IMT
