President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is willing to release his Statement of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth (SALN) to the proper authorities, including the Office of the Ombudsman, as long as it follows the procedures set by the anti-corruption body.
In a press briefing in Kuala Lumpur, Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said Marcos Jr. has made it clear he will abide by the Ombudsman’s guidelines on SALN disclosure.
She echoed Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin’s reminder that SALNs should not be used “indiscriminately” for political attacks or to discredit officials.
Castro added that Cabinet members held an informal discussion on the matter on Saturday and agreed to follow the Ombudsman’s procedures.IMT
