The Bureau of Immigration (BI) said it processed 15.6 million passenger arrivals nationwide in 2025, reflecting continued growth in international travel to and from the Philippines.

According to Immigration Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado, a total of 15,608,868 arrivals were recorded from January to December, including 6.7 million foreign nationals—almost six percent higher than the 2024 figure.

“We are aggressively modernizing our immigration processes… to ensure faster, more secure, and more convenient immigration services for travelers,” he said.

The BI vowed to continue upgrading systems and manpower while supporting tourism growth and guarding against transnational crimes.

“These reforms are essential to facilitating legitimate travel for tourists and other travelers.”IMT
