Iloilo Fifth District Representative Raul “Boboy” Tupas has paid tribute to his late mother, Myrna Causing – Tupas, who played an integral role in his growth as a public servant and a father.

In his heartfelt eulogy, Boboy expressed appreciation and gratitude for the guidance, motivation and all the valuable advices her mother imparted to him and his siblings.

The congressman, who is married to Board Member Binky Tupas and has four children, said her mother guided him in building his own family.

Boboy also praised his mother for her dedication and selfless service when she was elected mayor of Barotac Viejo, one of the towns in the Fourth District of Iloilo province.

“Si nanay isa ka simbolo sang kakusog, isa ka simbolo sang pagtinguha, kag isa ka simbolo sang paghatag sang tanan niya nga masarangan,” he said.

Myrna, the widow of the late Iloilo governor Niel Tupas Sr., passed away on April 30 at the age of 77 and was laid to rest on May 4.
