Senator Alan Peter Cayetano has expressed confidence that a spiritual revival and transformation will soon come to the Philippines.
“Sabi ng Panginoon, panalo na tayo. Ang Pilipinas po will be renewed. The Filipino heart will be revived. Churches will be reformed. Ang question lang is when,” Cayetano said during the 47th anniversary of the Jesus Is Lord (JIL) Church Worldwide.
He said true revival begins with repentance, stressing that corruption in the country is not just a political issue but a “spiritual battle.”
“Ang revival po, ang kasama niyan ay repentance – individual, community, corporate repentance,” the senator said, urging Christians to unite in prayer and repentance.
Quoting the Bible, Cayetano added, “If my people [humble themselves, pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways], I will heal your land.”
He ended on a hopeful note, envisioning a time when the nation will be filled with joy “because the revival is sweeping our nation.”IMT
