Former Senate President Franklin Drilon will return to the University of the Philippines this April for the launch and book signing of his memoir, Being Frank: A Memoir.

The first event will be held at the UP College of Law on April 11 during its alumni weekend, followed by launches at UP Visayas on April 14 and PHINMA University of Iloilo on April 15.

In the book, Drilon revisits his student years and public service career, including his achievement as a topnotcher in the 1969 Bar exams.

“I graduated from the UP College of Law in 1969—a star-studded class,” he wrote in his memoir.

“Our valedictorian was Ronaldo Zamora…our salutatorian, Toti Corona… Miriam, who went on to become secretary of the Department of Agrarian Reform, graduated third in our class. I graduated as a member of the Order of the Purple Feather, the honor society of the UP College of Law.”

Edgardo G. Lacson, chairman of the Board of the Employers Confederation of the Philippines, praised the memoir, saying, “Your book is more than a memoir. It is a guide for those who seek not only success, but also a life at peace.”

Columnist Joanne Rae Ramirez described it as “like a Netflix political thriller,” while former Chief Justice Artemio Panganiban said Drilon “should have been president.”IMT
