Every administrative region in the country will soon have at least two Philippine Science High School (PSHS) campuses, according to Senator Sherwin Gatchalian.
The Senate has ratified the bicameral conference committee report on the Expanded Philippine Science High School System Act (Senate Bill No. 2974 and House Bill No. 9726).
The law places the PSHS System under the supervision of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST).
Under the measure, each region must have at least two PSHS campuses. However, they cannot be located in the same province—or in the same city, in the case of the National Capital Region (NCR).
There are currently 16 PSHS campuses nationwide.IMT
