The League of Provinces of the Philippines (LPP) paid a courtesy call to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Thursday, Nov. 20, to show unified support for his administration and key legislative priorities.

Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said the governors want to reaffirm confidence in the President’s leadership and development agenda.

Marcos Jr., in turn, thanked them for their “unwavering trust” and vowed continued transparency, accountability, and responsible use of the national budget.

“Patuloy din ang pamahalaan upang itaguyod ang transparency, accountability at responsableng paggamit ng pera ng bayan lalo sa national na pag proseso ng budget,” Castro noted.

In a November 18 resolution, the LPP — representing 82 provinces — declared full support for Marcos and urged members to uphold institutions, the Constitution, democracy, and the rule of law.IMT
