Senator Risa Hontiveros has challenged contractors Curlee and Sarah Discaya to prove they are willing to cooperate with the government by finally submitting their flood control project records from 2016 to 2022, as ordered by the Senate.
Hontiveros said the couple has ignored the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee’s order for nearly four months, despite earlier pledging under oath to comply.
“Mahalaga na masilip lahat iyan,” according to her.
She stressed the Discayas should stop playing “victim” after Curlee Discaya claimed “modern-day robbery” over demands to return allegedly ill-gotten funds linked to their failed Witness Protection Program application.
The senator noted that the records are crucial after Sarah Discaya admitted their companies began securing flood control contracts in 2016. Senate data show Discaya-linked firms received nearly P207 billion in government contracts from 2016 to 2025.
Hontiveros warned that the Discayas cannot keep passing responsibility to others and must comply with the Senate’s lawful order.IMT
