The Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) has arrested 33 people during its intensified campaign against wanted persons in May in the metropolis.

Of the total arrests, seven have been classified as Most Wanted Persons (MWPs) while 26 others categorized as Other Wanted Persons (OWPs) based on the data released by the ICPO dated May 1 to 31, 2025.

ICPO spokesperson PMajor Shella Mae Sangrines said that MWPs are those involved in heinous crimes such as murder, rape, and other serious cases while the OMWPs are those involved in minor cases such as theft, violation of city ordinances and cases with small amount of damages.

The Iloilo City Police Stations (ICPS)1, ICPS3 and Iloilo City Mobile Force posted the highest number of arrests with 7 each during the period.

Other units contributing to the accomplishment were ICPS2 with 4 arrests, ICPS7 and ICPS9 with 3 arrests each, ICPS4 and ICPS8 with 2 arrests each; and ICPS5 and ICPS6 with 1 arrest each.

ICPO Director Police Colonel Kim P Legada lauded the performance of the various tracker teams for their relentless efforts in locating and apprehending wanted individuals.

He said this accomplishment reflects their strong commitment to justice and public safety.
