Iloilo City logs first COVID-19 death this year

Iloilo City has recorded its first death due to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in 2025.

The COVID-19 fatality was reported by the City Health Office (CHO) this month of June.

The CHO, however, did not provide details about the fatality.

From January 1 to June 23, the city logged 45 confirmed cases of COVID-19.

Of the total number, 38 have “fully recovered,” and six are considered active.

COVID-19 is a disease caused by a virus named SARS-CoV-2. It can be very contagious and spreads quickly.
