The Iloilo Convention Center (ICON) was hailed as the “Philippines’ Best Convention Centre 2025” at the 6th Annual World MICE Awards.
The award was received by Department of Tourism (DOT-6) regional director Crisanta Marlene P. Rodriguez during the Gala Ceremony in Bahrain.
Rodriguez said the recognition further cemented the status of Iloilo City as a premier Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) destination and affirmed its world-class capability to host international events.
“DOT Region VI congratulates the Iloilo City Government, ICON management, and the Iloilo MICE Alliance for this major achievement as a MICE destination,” she said.
“This honor is a result of the collective hard work and collaboration between the local government, the private sector, and the Ilonggo community, together with the trust and confidence of all the organizations, delegates, and organizers who held their MICE events in ICON in the past decade,” Rodriguez further said.
The 1.7-hectare ICON sits inside Iloilo Business Park (IBP) in Mandurriao district. Its main hall on the ground floor has a 3,700-seat capacity while its seven function rooms on the second floor have a 500-seat capacity each.IMT
