Iloilo will soon have dialysis centers in all its district and provincial hospitals, providing thousands of Ilonggos with better access to life-saving treatment for kidney.

Healthway Medical Network (HMN) partnered with the Iloilo Provincial Government to establish and operate dialysis centers in the province.

HMN is a healthcare network wholly owned by the Ayala Corporation under Ayala Healthcare Holdings, Inc. (AC Health).

“[The public-private] partnership marks a major milestone in our commitment to ensure that no Ilonggo is left behind when it comes to essential healthcare,” said Governor Arthur Defensor Jr.

“By working with AC Health, we are bringing much-needed dialysis services directly to our district hospitals, enabling more patients to receive life-saving treatment,” he added.

The initiative will provide access to hemodialysis services by equipping Iloilo’s 12 district hospitals and the provincial hospital with modern dialysis centers compliant with the Department of Health (DOH).

Each center will initially operate eight dialysis stations.

“AC Health believes that every Filipino deserves access to quality and affordable care. Our partnership with the Iloilo Provincial Government reflects our goal of supporting government efforts in strengthening the country’s health system,” said AC Health president and CEO Paolo Borromeo.

“We look forward to helping Iloilo build a more resilient and inclusive health network for Ilonggos,” he added.

The ceremonial signing of a partnership agreement was held at the Healthway Town Hall in Makati City on Tuesday, Nov. 25.IMT
