A singer from Iloilo City earned the coveted Golden Buzzer during the May 17 episode of Pilipinas Got Talent Season 7.
Esay Belanio became the last Golden Buzzer act of the season as she impressed the talent show’s audience and judges with her rock ‘n roll performance.
The Golden Buzzer was given by Donny Pangilinan, one of the four judges, along with Kathryn Bernardo, Eugene Domingo, and Freddie “FMG” Garcia.
“She’s a performer, She’s a star. She’s something special,” said Donny.
The 19-year-old Ilongga singer and songwriter took the stage with her own rendition of Nagloko Ka Rin Naman.
Aside from her vocal prowess, Esay also captivated Donny with her unwavering commitment to her craft. She shared that her parents sacrificed their jobs so she could pursue her music career.
“I’ve always looked for fire in the eyes and you brought that tonight,” said Donny.
The Golden Buzzer allows Esay to skip the Judges’ Cut round and move straight to the live semi-finals of the show.IMT
