The Iloilo City Government has urged the public to report gas stations selling overpriced petroleum products through the eGovPH mobile application.
To submit their complaints, users need to click the Report icon, select the Gas Station Concerns option, and fill out the required details.
The complaint platform was launched by the Department of Energy (DOE) in partnership with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT).
It aims “to give the public a faster and more accessible way to report consumer concerns involving gasoline stations.”
“We encourage the public to be part of the monitoring,” said Mayor Raisa Treñas, who convened the Local Price Coordinating Council (LPCC) on Tuesday, March 17.
“You can report through the ‘e-report’ feature of the eGov PH app the gas stations that take advantage of the prices of petroleum products or possible violation on the prices of prime commodities,” she added.
During their meeting, the LPCC “agreed to submit a weekly monitoring report every Friday to ensure timely updates on the monitoring of prices in the market.”IMT
