President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has accepted the resignations of Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin and Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman, both stepping down out of delicadeza after their agencies were linked to allegations involving the flood control anomaly under investigation.
Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Undersecretary Claire Castro announced that Finance Secretary Ralph Recto will replace Bersamin, while SAP for Investment and Economic Affairs Frederick Go will take over Recto’s post. DBM Undersecretary Rolando Toledo has been named OIC.
Castro cited Recto’s economic and fiscal expertise and Go’s strong investment track record. Toledo, she said, ensures smooth budget operations as the government prepares next year’s national budget.
Marcos Jr. thanked Bersamin for his leadership and Pangandaman for strengthening fiscal management.
Castro said the reshuffle underscores the President’s commitment to institutional integrity and uninterrupted government service.IMT
