President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has approved the Tatak Pinoy Strategy (TPS), a national plan to strengthen Philippine industries, boost local production, and make Filipino goods more globally competitive.

Under Memorandum Circular No. 104, all government agencies, GOCCs, and LGUs are directed to support the strategy, developed by the Tatak Pinoy Council through the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

The move enforces Republic Act No. 11981 or the Tatak Pinoy Act, which promotes high-quality and globally competitive Filipino products and services.

The DTI said the TPS was crafted through consultations with government, business, and research sectors. It outlines action plans at the national and local levels to expand and diversify local industries.

The DTI and the Presidential Communications Office will release and publicize the official TPS to ensure transparency and wider stakeholder participation.IMT
