President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. said former Ako Bicol Rep. Zaldy Co’s passport has been canceled, and he has ordered the DFA, PNP, and Philippine embassies worldwide to coordinate for Co’s capture and immediate return to the country.

“At kung sakali man ay siya ay pupunta roon, ay i-rereport sa atin para naman maibalik natin siya dito sa Pilipinas,” Marcos Jr. said in a video message.

Co, along with DPWH-Mimaropa officials and Sunwest Construction executives, faces arrest warrants for graft and malversation over an anomalous multi-million-peso flood control project in Oriental Mindoro — the first batch of cases filed by the Ombudsman in the flood control corruption scandal.

The President also confirmed that contractor Sarah Discaya is now in NBI custody after surrendering ahead of her expected arrest.

He assured the public that investigations and case filings will continue to ensure all guilty parties are held accountable and stolen public funds are recovered.IMT
