President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has directed government agencies to prioritize the repatriation of trafficked Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) rescued from scam hubs in Myanmar.

Presidential Communications Undersecretary Claire Castro said 346 OFWs are set to return to the Philippines on November 12 via a chartered flight from Bangkok, Thailand.

Agencies including the DFA, DMW, OWWA, DSWD, and DOH will assist the returning workers to ensure their health and welfare.

The DFA said the Philippine Embassy in Yangon continues to coordinate with Myanmar authorities on the deportation and rescue of remaining Filipinos in scam compounds.IMT
