President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has assured the public that he is in good health and fully capable of performing his duties, dismissing concerns over his recent medical condition.

In a video statement, Marcos Jr. said he was diagnosed with diverticulitis, a common condition among older and stressed individuals, but stressed that it is not serious.

“I’m fine. I’m feeling very different from the way I was feeling before. Naayos na ‘yung problema,” the President said.

Malacañang earlier said Marcos Jr. spent the night under medical observation as a precaution after experiencing discomfort, but noted that his condition is stable and that he has since returned to the Palace to work.

Asked if doctors told him to slow down, the Chief Executive joked that he is always advised to rest but quipped that the workload makes it difficult.

“It’s not a life-threatening condition… Huwag kayong mag-alala. The rumors of my death are highly exaggerated,” he said.IMT
