President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. will lead the inauguration of the newly developed Antique Airport today, Jan. 19.

He will be joined by Department of Transportation  DOTr Acting Secretary Giovanni Lopez, Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) Director Raul del Rosario, and Senator Loren Legarda.

Governor Paolo Everato S Javier and other provincial and local government officials are also expected to attend the event.

The development project includes, among others, the construction of a Passenger Terminal Building (PTB) and other vertical structures.

The new 2,224-square-meter PTB can accommodate over 300 passengers, way higher compared to its previous capacity of 64 passengers.

Located in Funda Dalipe, San Jose de Buenavista, the airport currently operates commercial flights to and from Manila three times a week.IMT
