President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. affirmed that the United States remains a crucial partner in maintaining peace, security, and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific.

In his keynote address at the inaugural Manila Strategy Forum hosted by the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Parañaque City, Marcos Jr. said the Philippines-US alliance helps uphold the rule of law and safeguard a free and open region.

“The place of the United States is here with us in the Indo-Pacific,” he stressed, noting that America’s influence, resilience, and innovation continue to shape Asian societies and global stability.

He added that the US’ role in world affairs “cannot be replaced,” and that its sustained engagement benefits not only the region but also America itself.

“We remain confident that the United States, as a self-declared Pacific nation, will remain oriented and committed to the Indo-Pacific, as history has consistently proven,” said Marcos Jr.IMT
