President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has extended condolences to the family of a 29-year-old Filipina killed in a missile attack in Haifa, as he ordered full government assistance and swift repatriation of her remains.

The President said the nation stands in grief with the victim’s family as the tragedy unfolded amid tensions in Israel.

“Nakikiramay tayo sa pamilya ng ating kababayang nasawi… Kasama nating nagluluksa ang kanyang pamilya sa gitna ng isang trahedyang hindi dapat maranasan ninuman,” he said.

Marcos Jr. directed concerned agencies to extend aid, while the Philippine Embassy remains on standby to assist Filipinos affected by the conflict.

He assured continued monitoring of the situation, stressing that the safety of Filipinos in conflict areas remains a top priority.

The government has already repatriated thousands of Filipinos from the Middle East, while the Department of Migrant Workers continues rollout of support programs, including job and reintegration efforts for returning OFWs.IMT
