Malacañang assured the public that despite rising political noise, the government’s flood control corruption probe is moving steadily, with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. pushing officials to deliver “results, not drama.”
Presidential Communications Office Secretary Dave Gomez said the Palace remains calm and focused, with agencies coordinating daily to pinpoint those liable, recover stolen funds, and pursue long-term infrastructure fixes.
“Work has not stopped, not a single day here,” he told ANC.
Gomez said the administration is committed to accountability and systemic reform.
“Our job is to bring to justice those who are responsible, recover the stolen wealth, and fix the system,” he added.
Marcos Jr. first exposed irregularities in flood control projects during his July 28, 2025 SONA, later launching the “Sumbong sa Pangulo” website and forming the Independent Commission for Infrastructure, which recommended charges against several individuals.
The Ombudsman has since filed cases before the Sandiganbayan.
Gomez said the President remains undistracted. ““He’s not blinking and he will see this through. He will finish this.”IMT
