President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has reaffirmed the Philippines’ warm ties with Ukraine in a call with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
They discussed cooperation in food security, agriculture, and digitalization, Marcos Jr. said in a statement.
The two leaders also explored ways to strengthen ASEAN–Ukraine engagement as the Philippines takes on the bloc’s chairship next year.
Zelenskyy earlier visited Manila in 2024 to announce the opening of a Ukrainian Embassy.
