Sizzled with confidence and strength, Miagao National High School made a crippling run to easily outplay Kirayan National High School, 81-58, securing the championship crown in the secondary boys basketball of the just concluded Miagao Municipal Meet 2025 at the SK Gym in Miagao, Iloilo.
After a sluggish opening quarter, Miagao Quintet rallied for a comeback to claim the first set victory, 22-17, before extending the lead to 21 points at the end of the first half.
Kirayan hotshots tried to narrow the gap at the start of the third, but the towering Miagao NHS easily controlled the rebounding territory followed by easy shots at the paint for a 64-31 lead.
Both teams got entangled in the court midway in the fourth canto, but Miagao NHS did not waste away the time and ended the game against the visiting squad.
With the victory, the team will officially represent the town of Miagao in the much-anticipated First Congressional District Sports Association (FCDSA) Meet hosted by the municipality of Tigbauan.IMT Sports
