Malacañang has called on the public to move forward after the House justice committee junked two impeachment complaints against President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. for insufficiency in substance.

Palace press officer Claire Castro said the Palace welcomed the outcome, stressing that lawmakers saw the complaints lacked basis and that due process was followed.

Castro said the President was confident he committed no impeachable offense and remains focused on boosting the country’s economy.

“Let’s move forward,” she quoted Marcos Jr. as saying.

She added that while Marcos Jr. did not watch the proceedings, he was glad the proper process was observed.

The two impeachment complaints—filed by lawyer Andre de Jesus and the Makabayan coalition—were declared insufficient in substance after two days of deliberations at the House justice committee.IMT
