Malacañang has urged unity as the country faces energy challenges, warning against mudslinging and fake news while government rolls out aid.

“Iwasan na ang manira at fake news—hindi ito panahon ng pamumulitika,” said Palace Press Officer Claire Castro.

She stressed the administration is balancing assistance, noting transport workers were prioritized as they were first hit, while subsidies and aid continue for other sectors.

The Palace cited ongoing measures under President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., including fuel and fertilizer subsidies, transport aid, fare discounts, “libreng sakay,” and support for OFWs affected by the Middle East conflict.

The President has also declared a national energy emergency to speed up fuel procurement and ensure a coordinated government response.IMT
