Malacañang said President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is determined to root out corruption in flood control projects, assuring that the investigation will spare no one.
“Kahit malapit sa puso, kahit kaibigan, wala pong sisinuhin ang Pangulo – mananagot ang dapat managot,” Presidential Communications Undersecretary Claire Castro said.
The probe will be led by the Department of Economy, Planning and Development (DEPDev) through its Regional Project Monitoring Committees (RPMC), with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) providing project records.
Other agencies involved include the Department of Budget and Management, Department of the Interior and Local Government, and the Office of the President–Presidential Management Staff, along with possible non-government partners.
All collected records will be consolidated by DEPDev and submitted to the President.
Castro said reports from the public, submitted via the newly launched sumbongsapangulo.ph website, can be filed anonymously and have no deadline, but she warned against prank or false submissions.
The platform was launched following Marcos Jr.’s SONA directive to investigate anomalies in flood control projects, amid recurring severe floods during typhoon season.IMT
