President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has directed the Department of Agriculture (DA) to ensure the swift and clean completion of farm-to-market road (FMR) projects, stressing integrity and efficiency in their implementation.
Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr. said the President’s clear instruction is to “keep it clean, do it fast,” as the DA now takes full responsibility for FMR projects under its P215-billion allocation in the 2026 national budget.
Tiu Laurel assured the public that FMR projects will follow proper costing and strict transparency measures to avoid past anomalies.
The DA, he added, is working with the private sector and civil society to monitor projects.
“Every single Filipino can actually go to this portal and see what is happening to every single road na ginagawa,” according to him.IMT
