President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has called on Filipinos to welcome 2026 with discipline, confidence, and a shared commitment to national progress and Bagong Pilipinas, urging unity, compassion, and collective purpose in the year ahead.
In his New Year message, Marcos Jr. encouraged the public to reflect on the past year’s lessons and challenges while looking forward with hope and direction.
He stressed that nation-building requires both personal discipline and collective effort.
“As we step into 2026, I therefore call on every Filipino to embrace the year with discipline, confidence, and a shared commitment to our nation’s progress. For beyond personal resolutions, the new year calls on us to examine how we live with one another, how we lift one another, and how our choices shape our nation,” said Marcos.
The President reaffirmed the government’s resolve to pursue a more unified and compassionate Bagong Pilipinas, underscoring solidarity and moral responsibility as key to shaping the country’s future.IMT
