President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has launched new Transparency Portals for DPWH, SSS, and PhilHealth as part of a push for digital governance, DICT Secretary Henry Aguda has announced.
Aguda said the portals aim to fight corruption, improve efficiency, and restore public trust by making government spending easier to access and understand.
Each portal features a visual dashboard and an AI-powered chatbot that explains budget data in simple terms.
He added that DPWH, PhilHealth, and SSS are the first to go live, with more agencies set to follow. The portals can be accessed via agency websites and open.gov.ph.
Aguda said the initiative expands public oversight.
“Sa simpleng logic, mas maraming mata sa datos, mas mahirap magtago ng anomalya. Ang bawat Filipino at puwedeng maging watchdog ng gobyerno at diyan po sa ating transparency portal makakaasa kayong walang fake news,” according to him.
The DICT has also begun livestreaming its procurement processes, a practice some LGUs are now adopting.IMT
