Executive Secretary Ralph Recto said the government has fully complied with the Supreme Court ruling on PhilHealth funds and has even increased the agency’s budget to improve public service.
Recto stressed that while a complaint was filed before the Office of the Ombudsman, the issue has already been resolved by the Supreme Court and the ruling has been followed.
He said PhilHealth’s funds were restored and augmented in line with the decision.
The Palace official added that he respects legal processes but remains focused on upholding the rule of law and improving government services, saying he will not be distracted by political noise.
Recto reiterated his innocence, noting that Supreme Court justices had opined that no criminal liability attaches to him for acting in good faith and in accordance with Congress’ mandate.
“We remain confident that the facts and the law are clear, and that the appropriate institutions will evaluate any allegations fairly and objectively,” he concluded.IMT
