Vice President Sara Duterte on Wednesday, Feb. 18, declared her bid for the presidency, slamming President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., her former 2022 ally, for allegedly failing to fulfill campaign promises.
“Ako si Sara Duterte, tatakbo bilang pangulo ng Pilipinas.” she said at a press conference.
Duterte vowed to dedicate her “life, strength, and future” to the nation as she formally announced her candidacy.
Her announcement came as the House of Representatives moves to act on three impeachment complaints accusing her of violations, including the alleged misuse of hundreds of millions in confidential funds.IMT
