Candidates from Team Uswag, led by the Treñas family, dominated the results of the May 12, 2025 elections in Iloilo City.

The political group’s mayoral bet, Raisa Treñas-Chu, won the race with 169,096 votes, defeating Roland Magahin, who obtained 74,768.

In the race for councilors, eleven Team Uswag bets made it to the top 12.

Sedfrey Cabaluna ranked first with 138,030 votes, followed by Miguel Treñas (133,685), Rex Sarabia (120,797), Alan Zaldivar (118,085), Lyndon Acap (115,073), and Nene Dela Llana (113,229).

Mandrie Malabor took the seventh spot with 109,777 votes, followed by Johnny Young (106,624), Romel Duron (106,021), and Rudolph Roding Ganzon (104,870).

The 11th spot was was occupied by Sheen Mabilog from Team Sulong Gugma with 103,992 votes, followed by Frances Grace Parcon (103,498).

Incumbent City Representative Jam-Jam Baronda from Team Sulong Gugma secured her third and final term with 177,282 votes.

She defeated Mel Carreon (44,384) and Danilo Purzuelo (4,921).

Baronda’s younger sister, Love-Love Baronda, emerged victorious in her vice mayoral bid with 131,951 votes, unseating Team Uswag’s Jeffrey Ganzon, who had 120,595 votes.
