
Typhoon Tino made landfall twice in Western Visayas on Tuesday, Nov. 4, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA)
Tino’s first landfall in the region was at 11:10 a.m. in San Lorenzo, Guimaras. It made another one at 1:20 p.m. in Iloilo City.
As of 11 p.m., the eye of the typhoon was located over the coastal waters of Araceli, Palawan, moving westward at 25 kilometers per hour (kph) with maximum sustained winds of 130 kph and gusts of up to 180 kph.
TINO is expected to make another landfall over the northern Palawan area by early Wednesday morning (Nov. 5).
The typhoon may exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) by Wednesday evening or early Thursday morning (Nov. 6).
Tino is forecast to “steadily re-intensify over the next days and may reach its peak intensity while over the West Philippine Sea.” IMT
