The Bureau of Immigration (BI) has confirmed that Russian vlogger Vitaly Zdorovetskiy, 33, was deported to Russia on January 17 after being declared an undesirable alien.
Zdorovetskiy was arrested by BI intelligence operatives in April last year after going viral for harassing Filipinos in Bonifacio Global City (BGC).
His deportation was ordered by the BI Board of Commissioners on December 17 as part of the government’s efforts to maintain public safety and order.
The vlogger, known for posting prank videos, admitted during inquest proceedings to acts that included harassing a security guard, cursing at a Filipina wearing a face mask, stealing an electric fan, and hijacking a tricycle that later crashed into a parked jeepney.
His application for bail was denied, and he was detained at the BI wardens’ facility in Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig.
In its order, the BI said Zdorovetskiy humiliated Filipinos and disrupted public peace, acts deemed contrary to morals and public policy.
He boarded an IrAero flight bound for Irkutsk, Russia, and has been placed on the BI blacklist.IMT
