Iloilo Third District Representative Lorenz Defensor is eager to hear clear plans for improving healthcare, agriculture, and employment in country from the fourth State of the Nation Address (SONA) of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on July 28.

In an interview, Defensor stressed the need for government to address pressing national issues, especially boosting workers’ salaries, increasing the education budget, and ensuring job placements for graduates.

“I hope the President presents tangible solutions to lift the lives of ordinary Filipinos,” the Ilonggo lawmaker said.

Defensor also reiterated his call for the creation of a Department of Water Resources to focus on water infrastructure and improve access to clean water across the country.

The congressman further expressed hope for political stability and improved performance among government agencies, urging the administration to uphold good governance and sound public management.IMT
