Financial assistance payouts under the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) at the Iloilo Provincial Capitol face a temporary halt beginning Friday, Sept. 18.
The move complies with Commission on Elections (COMELEC) Resolution No. 11191, which regulates public fund disbursements ahead of the November 2, 2026 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE).
While cash distributions are suspended, the Office of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development (OPSWDO) will continue accepting and processing walk-in client documents during this period.
Disbursements will resume once the election ban is lifted or upon official directives concerning any potential postponement of the electoral exercise.IMT
