President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has appointed Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco as Presidential Adviser for Sustainable and Resilient Communities, Malacañang said.
Presidential Communications Office Undersecretary Claire Castro said Frasco will transition from the Department of Tourism, where she led programs supporting tourism enterprises and local livelihoods.
Marcos Jr. tasked Frasco to help strengthen the implementation of key government initiatives at the community level, especially as many areas face climate-related risks.
Castro said the President thanked Frasco for her service at the DOT and expressed confidence that her experience working with local governments and communities will support the administration’s priorities.
DOT Undersecretary Verna Buensuceso will serve as officer-in-charge of the department.IMT
