Unleashing their inner power on the court, Hua Siong College of Iloilo (HSCI) showed empathic performance in a thrilling Game 3 finals of the Iloilo Private Schools Athletic Association (ILOPRISAA) secondary boys basketball tournament, beating Saint Robert’s International Academy (SRIA) Panda Rockets – Elite Lab, 86-65, at the the John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University (JBLFMU) gym.

The Red Phoenix retained their ILOPRISAA crown at the expense of Panda Rockets in a do-or-die Game 3.

Jid Locsin steered the red shirts after amassing 36 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists.

Both teams played man-to-man defense in the opener but Red Phoenix jumped to a quick double-digit lead in the first half before widening it to as high as 20 points in the second half.
The Vincent Conlu-mentored Phoenix asserted dominance in the second half, not allowing their foe to create a comeback.

To recall, Red Phoenix lost their first game last Saturday, 100-78, before bouncing back in Game 2 last Sunday, 85-78, to force a do-or-die Game 3. They eliminated University of San Agustin in the semifinals, while the Panda Rockets prevailed over Sta. Clarita International School Primes.

With the victory,  the Red Phoenix earned  the rights to represent Iloilo in the Regional PRISAA where they will be facing other Western Visayas-based teams for a chance to represent the region in the National PRISAA slated later this year.IMT Sports
