Iloilo City Government offices got new vehicles in an effort to deliver public services faster.

Mayor Jerry P. Treñas turned over the newly purchased vehicles during the flag raising ceremony on Monday, Dec. 16.

He noted a total of 25 vehicles as all departments needing service vehicle will be provided.

Treñas said additional units will be procured before the year ends, while others will be allotted with budget next year.

Two mini trucks were given to City Engineer’s Office and one for Beautification Program.

Four vehicles were given to the City Health Office and one each for the Local Economic and Investment Promotion Office and Public Employment Service Office.

Treñas said they are expecting three modern jeepneys in January to transport traffic aides, beautification personnel and street sweepers to their areas of assignments.

They are also considering purchasing a mechanized vacuum street cleaner and declogging machine.Iloilo City PIO
